Our commitment

AHEAD Human Resources wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as part of building and maintaining the site, not as something we check once.

The standard we work to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Those guidelines cover a wide range of needs, including visual, hearing, motor and cognitive disabilities.

We describe this as what we aim for rather than a certification. We have not commissioned an independent accessibility audit of this site.

What we do

• Structure pages with proper headings and semantic markup, so screen readers can move through them in a sensible order.
• Write alternative text for images that carry meaning.
• Check color contrast between text and its background.
• Make interactive elements reachable and operable by keyboard.
• Build layouts that work across screen sizes and reflow when text is enlarged.
• Respect the operating system setting that asks for reduced motion.

Known limitations

Some parts of the site may not yet fully meet the standard. We know about these:

• Embedded third-party tools. Scheduling, form and video tools supplied by other companies are not built by us, and their accessibility is outside our direct control. We raise problems with those vendors when we find them.
• Older documents and pages. Content published before we adopted this standard may not fully meet it. We are working through it.

If you find a barrier we have not listed, please tell us. We would rather know.
